The syllabus for the course, with the day-by-day schedule (updated on October 31), is here: PHYS171_f18_v2.pdf.
This is the first semester of the three-semester calculus-based course sequence designed primarily for physics and astronomy majors, but also open to others who want a rigorous and deep understanding of physics. The course covers kinematics, Newton's laws, gravity, energy and work, linear momentum, special relativity, rotational kinematics, angular momentum, static equilibrium, elasticity, fluids, gases, and basic thermodynamics.
Although the official course title says it is "Introductory", one of the normal prerequisites is a high school physics class. Please contact me ASAP if you have not taken a physics class before.
