How to Submit Lab Reports Electronically

Method 1 (from a computer not in the lab)
 | First, you will need to have a Glue account. A Wam account won't work.
|
 | Log in to your Glue account and change the working directory (with 'cd')
to /dept/phys/courses/Phys375/submissions/labxx, where xx stands for 01 for
lab #1, 02 for lab #2, etc. |
 | You can now copy the Mathematica notebook file into this directory. Note
that you can issue the 'ls' command to view what files are there, but you
cannot delete or examine the contents of files (even the files you have
submitted). |
 | You cannot overwrite any file (including the files you have submitted);
therefore, if you need to correct or amend a previously submitted file you
must re-submit it with a different filename. |
 | I suggest we use the following file naming convention:
xxxxdd-d.nb
where xxxx stands for your last name; dd is the experiment # (01, 02, or,
06-1, etc.); and the last d stands for the submitted version number (1, or 2,
etc.).
 | For example, roberts01-1.nb would be my submission for experiment 1,
version 1. |
|
Method 2 (from a lab computer)
 | You can use the shortcut on the desktop of the lab computers to help
automate the submission of your lab reports. |
 | As with the first method, you will need to have a Glue account. |
 | Just double-click on the shortcut and follow the instructions. |
