Research Spotlight

This month's Research Spotlight was written by Affiliate Professor Patrick O'Shea. The article discusses his work regarding Extreme Beams. Dr. O'Shea is a member of the Dynamical Systems and Particle Beams research group at the University of Maryland. Additionally, he is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Alumni Spotlight

This year's Physics Distinguished Alumni Award went to Mirjam Cvetic, Professor at the University of Pennsylvania. After receiving her Ph.D. in Physics from, UMD, in 1984, Dr. Cvetic went out to continue an extremely distinguished career path.
