       1 cable (shielded 8 conductor) signals will carry DC volts 0-10V. 
	connectors are MS, 1" diam, provided by UMd

 2) ethernet for VME crate (crate in hall)

 3) Interlock and emergency valve control:
	2 cables, 16 conductor, shielded, low DC voltage
	connectors unspecified.

 4) motor controller/tachometer:
	no cables required
	(motor controller will reside in hall)
	(tachometer read via RS232 downstairs)

 5) target position control:
