Do you like physics? Would you like to learn why a major in physics
might be right for you?
The Department of Physics at the
University of Maryland is hosting an open house!
This event is intended primarily for high school seniors
who are now thinking about applying to colleges and are considering
majoring in physics or physical science. Undecided students from
Maryland and physics students from other universities or community
colleges who are considering transferring to Maryland are also welcome.
- Learn why studying physics is interesting and opens doors to
exciting and growing fields.
- Talk to current and former physics majors to learn why Maryland
is a great place to study physics.
- Meet faculty members and hear about groundbreaking research
in the frontiers of modern physics.
- Get application information and learn more about admissions
and financial aid at the University of Maryland.
When: Saturday, October 18th, 2002 9am to 3pm.
Where: Room 1201 Physics Building (directions)
