Current Research Issues for the Electron-Doped Cuprates
Patrick Fournier
(Center for Superconductivity Research, University of Maryland)
Abstract: The interest of the research community in the electron-doped
cuprates , Re2-xCexCuO4 (Re = Nd, Pr,
Sm), was revived recently by the increasing evidences of an elaborate phase
diagram for the hole-doped cuprates (unconventional pairing symmetry, pseudogap,
anomalous normal state, metal-insulator transition, etc.). In this talk,
we review the actual status of research on both the anomalous normal state
and the nature of the superconducting state, in particular the symmetry
of the order parameter.
