The online materials are updated when new versions of materials are created. Thus, the online version of materials is the most up-to-date set of curriculum materials, examination questions, and software that we have access to. If you have a recent version of the CD, chances are that you have materials identical to what is on the web. If you have an old version of the CD (note that the date is placed on the CD), chances are that the materials have been updated.

For the moment, we wish to have only instructors have access to the materials. Though this is not an issue for the tutorials themselves, we do wish to keep the pretests and the examination questions out of student's hands (at the instructor's discretion). Thus, we ask that you get a password from us in order to use the materials

When reading materials from the CD, no information is password protected. Only information that is posted online is password protected.
In general, classroom materials are password protected, while other information is not.
All online materials related to tutorials (pretests, classroom worksheets, and homework) are password protected. Also, examination questions are password protected.

When obtaining New Model Course materials online, you may have to download the software by right-clicking (or control-clicking) on the link and using the "save as" option for the file. Instructions for installing the software are located online at this link.
When using the New Model Course materials on the CD, you can also browse the CD contents, rather than using your browser. The software files are located in the folder "NewModel" --> "software." Instructions for installing the files are located in the file "classinstall.htm" which is readable in any web browser.

No. Most software included in the New Model Course in Applied Quantum Physics is available online or on the CD, but not all. Photoelectric Tutor must be purchased from Physics Academic Software. All other materials are available at "Classroom Materials" --> "Software." More information on each piece of software can be found there, as well.
