Professor Shawhan will describe how physicists at the University of Maryland are working to detect gravitational waves, black holes and other massive objects in the Universe around us. Come hear what some of these signals will sound like and take a virtual tour of the huge detectors that are listening for these incredibly tiny gravitational echoes.
