 LAST MINUTE announcement from the professor: On monday's lecture I
motivated electron's spin and mentioned that it can be viewed as a
qubit in quantum computing. I meant to urge you to attend two events
today to follow up on this topic.

TODAY: physics colloquium 4pm in Phys 1410 by Professor David Cory of
MIT and discussions with undergraduate students 2:30 in Phys 1201.

Reminder: Midterm Exam Oct 24 during class (4:00-5:15 in Physics Room 0405) materials up to and including Chapter 6. You are allowed to bring a formula sheet 11.5in x 8in on two sides, and a non-programmable calculator
