1. The statistics for the final exam and the final grades have been posted. The highest score was 91, and the class mean and standard deviation were 59.6 and 15.5, respectively.
2. Everybody's final score was raised by 10% to increase the class mean of the final to 65.6 before the semester grades were computed.
3. The total scores were computed with the best 10 quizzes and the best 10 homeworks counted as 20% each, and the best two midterms and the final counted as 30% each.
4. The highest total score was 98.1, and the class mean and standard deviation were 70.1 and 14.4, respectively.
1. There will be two kinds of homework assignments: one on MasteringPhysics to be turned in on line
and the other to be written up on paper and turned in at the class.
2. The homework assignments to be written up and turned in are from Exercises and Problems in the Textbook
and listed below. For the written homework, late homework will not be accepted.
