HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS (09/03/03)

The list of textbook problems for each HW assignment is given below and is also posted in WebAssign at <http://www.webassign.net>. Note that each student's WebAssign problem set is unique: WebAssign randomizes the numerical parameters in each problem for each student. Thus the problems are similar to the textbook problems with the numbers listed in the assignment, but differ in the numerical values of their parameters. WebAssign will record the grade for your last (no more than three are allowed) HW submission at the deadline for each HW set.

All registered students were listed with WebAssign on 8/27/03. Your WebAssign username is your email name (or your last name if you did not list an email address at registration) with @umd appended . Your temporary password is your social security number. You may wish to change the password once you have registered with WebAssign. WebAssign will allow you access as a guest until September 15. Meanwhile, we hope that the Student Union Bookstore will receive their shipment of WebAssign cards to sell. Alternatively, you may purchase your WebAssign access on the WebAssign site by using a credit card. Please let us know if difficulties arise in your using WebAssign to get yor HW assignment finished.
