Campus Information

Conference Location

All meetings will be located at the Adele H. Stamp Student Union (aka "The Union").

The Union is located on Campus drive.

Directions to the meeting

Walking from the Marriott Inn and Conference Center

If you are staying on campus, the union can be reached via a 10 to 15 minute walk. Campus drive runs alongside the Inn. Turn left on campus drive and walk along this road. You will pass a church on your right, and a giant parking lot (Lot 1) on your left. Continue walking through the traffic circle, up the hill, where you will find a stop sign and a "T" intersection. Turn left at this intersection. Follow the road as it bends around, you want to keep Cole Field House on your left. You will see the union on the left hand side of the road.

Driving directions to the Union

Drive on Rt. 1 (Baltimore Ave) to the main gates of campus. This main entrance is at the intersection of Rt. 1 and Paint Branch Parkway. Enter campus, and drive straight. You will come to the "Big M" traffic circle. Go straight through this traffic circle. You will see the union on your right. At the corner just past the union, turn right on union lane. There is a cash parking lot. The fee is $12 per day. In the past, they have only accepted cash. Please be prepared.

Inside the Union

When you reach the union, you should enter through the main doors on campus drive.
You will see an information desk to your right.
Turn right just past the information desk, and find the elevator immediately on you right.
Take the stairs or elevator up to the 2nd floor.
Registration is near the Jimenez room on the first 2 days, and in the Colony Ballroom the last 2 days.

Parking

Parking near the hotel is at the UMUC/University College Garage. The fee is $10 per day. There is also a garage just across the street from the meeting location at the Union Lane Parking Garage. The fee is $12 per day. Please carry cash to pay these fees.

Campus Shuttle to Metro

The shuttle to the College Park metro stop picks up at the stop across the street from the union. The shuttle runs frequently, and is about a 5 minute ride.
