Physics Education Research: A Section of the American Journal of
Physics
The Physics Education Research Section of the AJP is intended
for the presentation of research results on the scientific investigation of the learning and teaching
of physics. This section is meant to serve both as an archival forum for the
presentation and discussion of issues among physics education researchers and as
a place where those interested in "what works" in physics instruction.
At present, the AJP plans to publish a PER Section of about 32 pages twice a year.
This section is a direct continuation of the PER Supplements to the AJP, of which
three issues have been published: July 1999, July 2000, and July 2001. The editorial
process for the PER Section continues that of the PER Supplement.
